Aicha

When I was in my ‘musical’ days, I would listen to Outlandish a lot. I loved their song, ‘Aicha’ and later others that came out, like ‘Look into my eyes’. I don’t know why they appealed to me, maybe it was because of their Islamic/Political themes at the background, their obvious support of Palestine, or the fact that their music was decent and still somewhat good. I loved their mix of hip hop and other genres. Their beats were appealing, and I’m sure still are.

Whatever it was, Aicha was great. Both the original version by Cheb Khalid and the English version by Outlandish. I was fascinated by the fact that there was a Hijabi in the background, considering usually music videos thrive on half-naked Women to promote their videos.

And here is the original version by Cheb Khalid, in French/Arabic. Beautiful.

I hope I don’t get accounted for making people listen to it. Now, I think I just have to wait for them to produce songs without musical instruments. :p
